Annotation:	Dominating strategies of financial behaviour of small and medium-sized enterprises as to EU funds and aid are determined based on findings of social surveys conducted in Lower Silesia. Predominance of short-term goals in appropriation of financial resources is pointed out, which restrains investment activities, development and innovation and makes long-term competitiveness impossible.
