Annotation:	Methodological approach to the definition of the category «sustainable development of an enterprise» is created. Factors of sustainable development are pointed out and approaches to its assessment are considered. Modern mechanisms of value-based management are considered. The role of controlling in providing value-based management of an enterprise is established, and the main problems of introducing the controlling system at the enterprise are considered.
