Annotation:Methods. The research was carried out using the methods of analysis, comparison, generalization, systematization, economic-statistical and logical-analytical – when conducting an analytical study regarding the calculations of the dynamics of the number of enterprises in the service sector and the volume of services provided by types of economic activity. Results. The general trend towards an increase in the number of enterprises in the service sector is being monitored: in 2020, 648,499 enterprises-legal-entities and their separate divisions, whose main activity is the provision of non-financial services, operated on the services market, this is by 17,800 units, that is, by almost 3%, more than the previous year 2019, and by 54,731 units or by 15% more than in 2016. In 2020, the largest number of enterprises operating in the field of professional, scientific and technical activity was 140,374 units, or 22% of the total number of those that provided services to consumers. The results of the analysis of the volume of services implemented by the regions of Ukraine confirm that in 2020 the majority of services were implemented in the Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 93,504 billion (13.6% of the all-Ukrainian level) and in the Odesa region – UAH 91,813 billion (13.3% of the all-Ukrainian level). Novelty. A detailed analysis of the services market of Ukraine was carried out, which showed an uneven distribution both by types of economic activity and by regions of the country. Practical value. The results of the research can be useful for enterprises, which are functioning in the service economy when making strategic decisions regarding the directions of their activities.
