| Title: | Macroeconomic indicators of the level of technical and technological development |

| Annotation: | Methods. The following methods were used while conducting the research: statistical analysis – while studying the macroeconomic indicators of the level of technical and technological development of the economy; analysis and synthesis – while identifying the factors that characterize the state of technical and technological development of Ukraine's economy. Results. The state of technical and technological development of Ukraine is analysed in the article. There is determined the system of economic, financial, technological and institutional factors, which at the microeconomic, macroeconomic and mesoeconomic levels cause a low level of such development. The non-alternative nature of innovation processes as a mechanism of technical and technological renewal of society is emphasized. There is substantiated the possibility of using some components of the global innovation index to study the state of technical and technological development of the economy, namely: the «Results of knowledge and technology» sub-index – to determine the dynamics of patent and publishing activities of national economic entities and financial results of high-tech exports; the «Research and development» sub-index as an indicator of the quality of research works and higher education level in the country; the «Knowledge sphere Workers» sub-index – to study the potential and real conditions of innovative principles of development. Novelty. The system of economic, financial, technological and institutional factors that determine the low technical and technological level of development of Ukraine's economy is singled out at the micro, macro and mesoeconomic levels. The possibility of applying certain components of the global innovation index to study the state of technical and technological development of the economy is substantiated. Practical value. The results of the study can be used by public administration authorities for the development and implementation of structural policy. |
