Annotation: | Methods. The results were obtained through the use of methods: analysis and synthesis – with the opportunities that open up to enterprises in the industry as a result of the use of artificial intelligence; general and special – in identifying clear existing barriers to the digital development of the mining industry in Ukraine. Results. The article describes the process of formation and development of digital transformation of the mining industry and considers the innovative changes that occur as a result. The authors argue that barriers to the digital development of the mining industry in Ukraine include data protection issues, cybersecurity risks in the management of the mining sector of Ukraine’s economy; lack of workers in the mining industry with sufficient digital competencies to work with data (digital skills), the corresponding digital content of the professions in this sector, etc. Novelty. The authors point out the opportunities that create a trend for Ukraine, including the development of this sector of the economy in terms of digitizing its content, creating new jobs that require digital competencies and increase efficiency and effectiveness of this industry; creation of «hard» and «soft» infrastructure for the development of the mining industry and the digital economy of the national type; the emergence of an effective digital tool for industry management; creation of a digital environment and digital ecosystem of the mining sector, which prevents corruption as a phenomenon in this area. Practical value. The authors consider the stages of development of mining enterprises, namely: economically-oriented, ecologically-oriented and socially-oriented. The article presents the advantages of using SIMINE solution from Siemens' portfolio of digital solutions, which are designed to help customers solve the most complex problems in the mining industry and set new standards in this industry. However, the authors believe that artificial intelligence based on the processing of large data sets allows to optimize the processes of the mining industry and improve the quality of digital products / services in terms of management in the mining sector. |
