Title:Leadership potential in strategic management of business adaptivity

Annotation:Methods. The study is based on structural and functional analysis, which allows to realize the potential of leadership in strategic management of business adaptability. In addition, the research method included such methods as: abstraction – in clarifying the essence of the concepts of «human potential» and «human capital», typology – in the formation and implementation of the leadership potential of the enterprise; classification – when identifying strategic changes in the innovative development of an industrial enterprise in accordance with the classification of changes. Results. In the course of the research it was determined that the adaptability of entrepreneurial activity, which is based on universal and situational management, is a necessary prerequisite for self-improvement of the enterprise and achievement of its key positions in the market. The main characteristics of strategic changes in relation to the innovative development of an industrial enterprise are classified in accordance with the classification changes. It is revealed that the most effective is the innovative strategy of companies when, in the process of its implementation, internal and external factors of influence in a certain period are taken into account. The components (organizational-managerial and resource-renewal) that significantly influence the formation and realization of the enterprise leadership potential are analyzed. Novelty. The expediency of forming the potential of leadership in strategic management as a basis for ensuring the adaptability of entrepreneurial activity in conditions of instability and intensification of competition is substantiated. There is offered a model of strategic management of adaptability of the enterprise at realization of potential of leadership, which provides effective functioning of the enterprise. Practical value. The experience of international market-leader companies shows the need to use the potential of leadership in strategic management, as it is the key to long-term success of the company and a means of ensuring its competitiveness and competitiveness in the face of global challenges.
