Title: | Retail trade in the conditions of digitalization of society |

Annotation: | Methods. The research is implemented using such methods as: abstraction – to define the essence of transformation of retail trade and its improvement in the conditions of digitalization of society; generalization and systematization – to identify typical solutions for the digitization of trade and quality assessment of customer service; analysis and synthesis – when processing the results of the activity of retail traders, in particular, the level of use of information technologies. Results. The influence of the digitalization of society on the retail trade process has been determined, in particular, to its development through the way of provision of related services to the consumer. The results of trade subjects’ activity have been analyzed, their interest in use of information and communication technologies is determined. The benefits and risks of business in the retail trade sector are summarized in the context of fundamental social changes as a result of digitalization. The solutions of small and large food retail outlets about digitalization of business in terms of interaction with customers are analyzed. There are identified the shortcomings of customer service, which can not be solved by digitalization of business or, which actually are the consequence of digitalization. The proposals are developed with regard for updating business model of retail business in the direction of human resources for solutions of digitalization. Novelty. Typical decisions of trade entities about business digitalization which allow to attract and retain consumers are generalized. There is offered an improvement of a methodical approach to the digitalization of the business of a retail trade entity, consisting in a systemic approach updating its business model with an emphasis on preventing the negative influence of «human factor» on the value proposition for consumers. Practical value. The results of the research will allow retail traders to systematically adapt business to the conditions of digitalization of society, taking into account the risk factors. |
